Share a factory. Or test opposing ones.
Mindustry supports cross-platform multiplayer, including Android and desktop devices. Players need the same game version. Start with that agreement, then decide whether your session is about building together or putting opposing teams under pressure. The network connection is only the beginning of the plan.
| Session | A useful agreement before play |
|---|---|
| Co-op | Share jobs: extraction, production, power and the front line. |
| PvP | Read the map rules and build an economy that can support your units. |
| A public server | Check its version, game mode and any required content. |
On the same local network
- One player opens a game, pauses and chooses Host Multiplayer Game.
- Other players open Play, then Join Game, and look for the host.
- If discovery fails, check that the devices share the same network. Some public Wi-Fi networks prevent devices from finding one another.
Across different networks
Join an existing public server for a shared game across different networks. If you host your own session, check the address, port and connection settings before inviting players; a local game is not automatically reachable over the internet.
Once connected, mark a destination for each shared material line before extending it. Tell the team when you change a route that feeds their factory or defences. A short conversation about who needs the output is often more useful than another crowded junction.
